Discussion:
Relationship connectors won't connect

I've been working on a database model diagram for some months. Just now,
however, I can no longer add a relationship. If I drag the end of a new
relationship connector onto an entity it does not recognise the entity and
form a connection (and relationship).

This appears to be a corruption of the particular file itself - if I create
a new diagram of any sort (including a Database Model) then connectors work
just fine.

Does anyone know if/how my file can be repaired? How does this happen?

This happened to me as well. I don't know how this setting changed to begin
with, but to resolve it I went to: "Tools --> Snap & Glue..." and then
re-checked the "Glue" checkbox under "Currently active".

Good luck.

This is such a crucial post, I just thought I would add that the same bug is found in Visio 2010; but to compensate for it, one must open the View menu, expand Visual Aids, and then re-check the Glue checkbox.
